toy story 3.

I can't begin to tell you about all the different stages of emotion I went through while watching this movie. All I can tell you is "wow". The trailer definitely didn't mention the movie was going to be THAT epic. I just assumed it was just another Toy Story movie. Not that saying they're mundane or anything, but they weren't as adventuresome as the 3rd one.

It was very well done, and I never found myself getting bored at all. Not like you can expect a Pixar movie to bore you. I found it a little sad that not ALL the characters where there. The important ones were, but you still can't help but miss Bo Peep, RC, Lenny, and all the others. Also, the fact that Andy was going away to college made the movie very emotional and you're always wondering where the toys are going to end up in the end.

One thing I can't help but bring up. I think it's a little retarded how all the toys assume one thing, and when Woody tries to tell them their wrong they get mad at him and tell him he doesn't know what he's talking about, and at the end they're like, "WOW! Woody was right!" You'd think after all the times they've done that they'd finally realize that maybe Woody DOES know what he's talking about. I just found that a little annoying.

Oh and Lotso Bear...as much as I want him in real life, he's a jerk and very predictable if I may add. Oh and the big baby...creepy! It definitely had a horror flick feel to it at some parts when he was around, it was pretty cool. The other new toys weren't as great in my opinion. Except for bookworm. He was pretty cute, but also in only 2-3 scenes.

The movie overall was amazing. It was a great wrap up to the Toy Story series, very emotional because I wish they could keep going on, but I know it's for the best that they ended it. Andy saying goodbye to all his toys including Woody made it very hard too. It's just toys, and just a movie, but it's like when your favourite TV show wraps up, it's heartbreaking because it feels like you grew with them and went on adventures and now it's all over.

I feel that if he'd had put his toys in the attic like he was going to it would have made a possible Toy Story 4, could have been interesting and an adventure on it's own. Giving his toys away to the little girl, you can't really go on after that. I for one wouldn't be as excited for a next one in the new room with new toys and kid, just not the same.

Anyways, I highly recommend this movie. It's an emotional roller coaster and you're going to love it story, visuals, animation, and all.......and if you're one of those people who aren't a big fan of animated features, I truly feel really sorry for you and you have no idea what you're missing out on. I also blame your parents for not letting you have an imagination while you were growing up and I also blame you for sucking. For everyone else, this movie is the end of an era and you're going to enjoy it.

robin hood.

A lot of people I've spoken to thought this movie was awful. I personally didn't mind it that much. I love the classic Robin Hood story and not to mention the Disney movie...SO AWESOME. I knew this movie wasn't going to be a live action version of the Disney animated movie, but I knew I'd like it reguardless. Maybe not TOO much, but for what it was. I won't be throwing out any HUGE spoilers in this review, so I think it's safe to read on.

I'm a Russell Crowe fan. Obviously not the kind of fan that's going to see EVERY movie he's in, but every movie I've seen him in, I found to be enjoyable. There's just one, little thing that bugs me. He always plays heroes. You rarely see him play "the bad guy". I think he would make an interesting villain, rather than "the hero that everybody loves and he's just the most awesome person in the universe". Anyways, I didn't find anything about him in this movie that bugged me, he played his roll very well. He made an awesome Robin Hood.

The story was nice. It was more of a prequel to the original Robin Hood stories that most of us know and grew up with. It was basically how Robin Hood came to be, outlaw and all. Throughout the movie you can pick out little things that you might remember from the Disney movie. I know I'm doing some comparisons to the Disney version, but to me it's kind of the prequel to that...except it's live action. But anyways. I noticed a lot of the characters and their personalities were the same as the ones in the stories. I think it's awesome considering live action movies change a lot of the stories and characters to make it their own.

There were some boring parts, I'll admit that. This was the only movie, I found that I was falling asleep in. It seemed as if it was longer than it should have been. Had more than one ending in my opinion. Also, I didn't find the fight scenes fulfilling. But I've been noticing this in a lot of other recent movies. It's as if the writers and directors are getting bored of fight scenes. It's a shame really. I think the fight scene in this movie was a main event, but the way they made it...I just felt cheated. France came in and they were supposed to have this epic battle, but it only lasted a few minutes because France forfeited. France thought there wasn't a point in fighting a country (England) who was at war with itself. So they just took off on their little ships decked out in fleurs-de-lis. Guhhh! Just fight anyways!

All in all, I'd rate this movie a 6/10. Good characters, good story, good shots, but I still found that this movie was lacking AWESOME and the fact that they cheated us with their "epic" fight scene made it worse. Also, maybe if this movie was 30 mins shorter, would help...maybe a tad bit more. So if you want to go watch an epic film. This definitely wont be it.

iron man 2.

I'm going to just start this out by saying...I was a bit disappointed with this movie. I guess I shouldn't have expected something epic from a sequel. I just assumed since the 1st one was awesome, then the 2nd one would be as well. The story was pretty good, I wasn't TOTALLY bored. I just found myself really anxious throughout the film. The fight scenes seemed half-assed in my opinion. The one fight that's supposed to be the MAJOR epic fight out of all fights of the movie, lasted about a min (or so it seemed). It was over so quick and made it seem so easy, it was as if anyone off the street could do it. It was lame. I was not amused.

The characters were awesome as usual. I was a big fan of Mickey Rourke's character in this movie. He played Ivan Vanko so well and I really don't think anyone else could have given the same effect as he did. Iron Man on the other hand, obviously in this movie he was at the end of his rope, and noticed his life kinda falling apart. Either way he was a bitch about it. It's like the people who completely give up on life and decide to get drunk and act like a complete idiot. Normally when you see super heros, they have this professional persona and don't openly flaunt the fact that they're super heros and act like they're hot shit about it. Tony Stark...not so much. I know the character is supposed to be a little full of himself, but I think the Tony Stark in the 1st movie was way cooler than the one in the 2nd. It just wasn't as enjoyable.

So basically I found myself getting really excited on a lot of parts, but the delivery sucked. Oh and the Ivan Vanko thing. They didn't really fully touch on the reason why he was totally pissed at Tony. They just briefly mentioned their dad's doing something and somehow it's Tony's fault. Whatever it was lame. It seemed as though they just needed a villain and a quick story just so it wasn't too random that he was there.

Jon Favreau, you failed, and I suggest you take your time on Iron Man 3, and make it super epic, or else the world will hate you, and I will write another review telling you how shitty you are at your job. Don't let me down.

Overall, it's an okay movie. Should you see it in theaters...sure? I'm a little torn. I love seeing movies in theaters, but after seeing this, part of me wished I waited until it was released, but the the other part of me just wants to see everything in theaters 1st, just because going to the movies is awesome.

a nightmare on elm street.

Before I begin, I would just like to express my love for horror movies. I don't know what it is that attracts me to them, yet, at the same time I have so much to criticize. Either way I have to watch them no matter what, knowing that their is a big chance it's not going to be amazing. I mean really, can anyone recall an amazing epic horror movie? Mmmmno. It just doesn't happen with those types of movies. It's either good, okay, or bad.

Personally, I didn't mind the movie the way it was. I think compared to the original 'Nightmare on Elm Street' movies, it was a lot better. Although, I found that Samuel Bayer had to rely mostly on those sudden moments where something just pops up in your face and scares the bejesus out of you and everyone SHOULD know that those moments rely on the loud, sudden sound effects to actually scare someone. If you don't know, try watching a scary movie on mute. It's not as effective. I think those were the only moments that actually scared me. The other moments it was more of me trying to figure out what was going to happen next. Obviously, having watched the originals, I KNOW what's going to happen eventually. I just found that the inside story with Freddy was rather interesting. I think I would have enjoyed the movie a lot more if it was JUST about him. Kind of like "X-Men Origins.." movie.

The rest with the teenagers was just bland. The characters didn't really touch you in a way to make them memorable...if that makes sense. There was just no way of connecting with them. I don't believe they even had any character development either. I was basically hooked on Freddy. I thought he was the most interesting character. And the fact that is was played by Jackie Earle Haley made everything a million times better. Although! I don't think this Freddy was as effective as the Freddy from the original movies. The other one was waaayy more scary and I think it's because I didn't know who that actor was, so I couldn't put a...real face with him, so to speak. The NEW Freddy just kept reminding me of Rorschach and all of his awesomeness. So that didn't help trying to scare the shit out of me, but I still would prefer the new Freddy over the old Freddy.

One thing I'm really glad this movie decided to leave out was all the scenes with the horny teenagers having sex then getting slaughtered. For some reason all the old school horror flicks thought everyone should be having sex and dying. I personally don't understand that, but like I said, I'm glad they took it out. It isn't necessary and I think it helped the movie a lot more.

I know I usually spend a good part of my reviews bitching about the characters and all their retardedness, but the only thing this movie gave me to complain about was the fact that they were all just lame. They weren't strong actors at all. It makes me angry that I can't make fun of either of them, because I love doing that. Sorry to let you guys down. But for those who have SEEN the movie. Did anyone notice in the super market scene. Where the kid went to get more refills for his pills. The girl ends up coming in the store. Mid way she has a "micro nap". Which is another excuse for the director to throw in something "scary" to happen. Anyways, she goes into this micro nap, where basically you call asleep completely involuntary and you don't know you're doing it. So she goes into her nap, and gets cut by good ol Freddy. So there she was bleeding in the store. Nobody thought that was weird? No store clerks found it was odd that some teenage girl was on the ground in panic and bleeding excessively? So what does her future boyfriend do? He takes something off the shelf to help the wound? How convenient. They just so happen to be in that particular isle. And somehow the kid knows his way around really well because he just had to turn around real quick and snag something off the shelf and then it cuts to them in the car. So that entire time in there? Nobody felt the need to approach the two kids freaking out and bleeding...and stealing things off the shelf? I'm assuming they stole because If they'd have gone to the checking stand, there had to have been some questions by the clerks. If not then they must live in a zombie town.

Another thing. I'm glad they killed off the blonde girl at the beginning. She was wayyyy too dramatic and annoying. I also thought it was awesome how they killed her off like they did in the original...minus all the sex. She just had to go. Oh and her boyfriend. I thought he was gay at 1st. Either way, I'm glad they killed him off too. What a world. You know come to think about it, everyone should have just gotten killed. I think it would have left the audience in a more of a "wtf" state of mind because all the characters just got killed...like everyone in the movie. I think that would have left more of an impact on the audience...okay just kidding, but it would still be awesome.

I found myself thinking about part 2 of this movie because we all know it's not over. There was like what 7 or 8 Freddy movies? Not including Freddy vs. Jason. We wont get into that mess. So I'm sitting there in the theater watching this movie, wondering how they were going to end it when they leave us going "OMG THERE'S DEFINITELY GOING TO BE A PART 2!" Either way I'm watching it. I don't care what any of you say. I love these movies and I love bitching about them too.

So, I would just like to say that if you're not the horror movie kinda person, or feel that this movie in particular isn't your cup of tea. I wouldn't see it in theaters. If you really WANT to go see in in theaters, don't expect something great. Only thing I can say about this movie is it IS what it IS. If you still think you're too good for this movie then I'm confident to say maybe "High School Musical" would suit you best. I'm sure that's out on vhs in some third world country. I don't think they'll mind giving it to you. :)

océans.

Yes, this is Disney's version of Planet Earth. I liked it. I just thought it was too rushed. It didn't spend enough time on the different creatures. I believe it had a shot of an octopus and then all of a sudden Pierce Brosnan's voice says, "and this is the (so and so) octopus. That's it. It even showed Narwhals! For 2 seconds.

It definitely wasn't a Planet Earth, but it was still pretty cool to see all the different creatures under the sea and their daily activities. It even showed how us distrusting humans, polluted the ocean. We should be ashamed of ourselves. It was very disturbing.

Pierce Brosnan's voice was so relaxing, I felt as if I was laying in bed watching channel 2. I love channel 2.

I personally enjoy these documentaries. It's also cool that Disney releases a different one every Earth Day. I can't wait for the next one. You guys should definitely give it a chance. It's really interesting, lots of cool creatures. SEA TURTLES, and Pierce Brosnan's voice.

kick ass.

A lot of people had high hopes for this movie. I didn't. Those people ended up not enjoying the movie so much. I did. It reminded me a lot of Mystery Men, which was awesome. I don't care what any of you say. Mystery Men was the shit. So anyways, I thought this movie was cool. It was pretty fast paced, so I didn't find myself getting bored at all.

There was one part in the movie that stood out to me the most. When Dave gets stabbed and ran over by a car. That was awesome, but I took that as one of those scenes where you think the character is just thinking of the "what if's". I was wrong. It actually happened, and I was shocked. It was such a sad unfortunate moment for the guy, but funny at the same time because it was quick and in your face.

The characters were alright. Dave was a bit of a douche, but I'm just going to assume that's what his character was supposed to be like. His friends were awesome, so chill and no clue what the hell is going on around them. Reminded me of... me on Mondays. HA! Bad joke.

Okay, so apparently I don't pay attention to trailers or anyone who tries to talk to me about movies, because I had no idea that Nicolas Cage was going to be in this movie. That was a surprise. More so because I love making fun of him, so this movie gave me more of an excuse to laugh at him even more. What happened you ask? Well let me tell you. He was set on fire is what happened! It was great. Very intense, because there was a whole fight taking place around him while he was strapped to a chair screaming his head off. Then! At the end, his daughter goes to him and says her goodbyes, and he's just there burnt to a crisp. So awesome.

AND MCLOVIN IS IN IT. He's awesome. Sorry it's not Christopher to me, it's McLovin and yes, he's awesome, so you can just shut your face and go watch Deep Blue Sea. He was awesome. His "super hero" character was pretty cool too. Ive realized his head looks like a peanut. I couldn't stop seeing peanut head when he was wearing his mask. It just made it more obvious how peanut like his head was. Though the end of the movie with him...sitting in his dad's office chair...as if he's going to get revenge for his father's death. Just lame.

Oh and don't get me started about the stupid teenagers in this movie. The new relationship somehow turned from being a new relationship, to a married couple. Obviously the pretty girl somehow finds the sensitive geek attractive and they end up dating. Oh and what do you know, her friend suddenly finds his friend attractive. The movie ends with the couples making out, camera pulls out, fade to black, the end.

So all in all, it's not that bad of a movie. Only advice I give you is don't go into this assuming it's going to be amazing, or you'll be disappointed. Should you just catch it on DVD? Maybe. Not like this movie is a must see in theaters. There were lame parts, but I wont judge it as a cliché movie, because it was meant to be a cliché movie. That's probably why a lot of people thought it was so dumb. Anyways, if you have free time, and want to watch a movie, go check it out. It's funny. People like to laugh, unless you're not human, then in that case I'd say you pretty much lost your right to watch movies.

how to train your dragon.

After a long bout of procrastination, I finally saw Dreamworks' "How to Train Your Dragon". I was not sure what to expect of this film. 3D animations are so hit or miss, so I didn't want to get my hopes up, and I wasn't too excited. Since it's release, many people have praised and even created fan art of "How to Train Your Dragon", so I figured it was time to see what it was that had people so excited.

From the beginning to the end, I enjoyed every moment of this film, and was never bored or disappointed. It's nice to see 3D isn't just about using random camera angles to poke things into the eyes of the audience anymore, and is more a tool used to bring the audience into the worlds that are created.

I loved the characters, from the vikings to the dragons. The film as a whole was very visually appealing, with a lot of great designs. The story was pretty simple, but really cute; I admit a couple times I choked back some tears. The only thing I disliked was the main character, Hiccup's voice, it didn't seem to fit, and I found it annoying (unless that was intentional...?).

"How to Train Your Dragon" had a lot of laughs, a lot of heart, and a lot of fun. I highly recommend it, and guarantee you will wish you owned a dragon, or at least some toys from the movie.

hot tub time machine.

Oh, John Cusack, how do you keep coming back into my life? We'll come back to him. I'd just like to say, this movie was better than I had expected. At 1st I didn't even want to watch it, then the more I saw the trailers the more interested I got. It was really funny, but predictable. It made me think a little about back to the future, but in this case, they were going back to the 80s, and the only thing awesome about the 80s was the saturday morning and after school cartoons.

Is it me or does John Cusack appear in the most random movies? You have your action movie actors, your chick flick actors, your stonner flick actors, and so on. Cusack doesn't seem to be part of anything, it's as if his agent just jumps on every movie and hopefully he gets a part. I think his character should have been played by Seth Rogan or something. John Cusack? Random as hell. I also do not see him as a stonner, so that was really awkward.

Oh man, one part in this movie, that realllly bugged me was the scene where Nick sings a song by the Black Eyed Peas...in the 80s. That...was...retarded. You know how someone does something completely stupid and you just feel embarrassed and dumbfounded for that person? Well that's how I felt about this scene. I couldn't even watch, it was just dumb. It was dumb. It was sooooo dumb! I can't stress that enough.

I really liked Lou's character. Angry people are just so funny. I knew he was going to stay behind and change the world. I would probably do the same considering what I know now. Although, having to go through all that childhood and teenage crap... I don't know. But they all got what they wanted in the end, and their friendship was stronger than it was before, so that was cool.

So anyways, this was an awesome movie. Id recommend it to everyone, even you people who enjoy watching "Not Another Teen movie". It really makes you think about life and how one little thing can make a difference, or not even. Maybe your life was already planned out for you, so no matter what you do, your always going to end with the same results. So check it out, it'll make you laugh.

Who doesn't like to laugh? If your someone who doesn't enjoy laughing, then there is something seriously wrong with you. Your either a serial killer, or dead. So you'd have to be a serial killer, because if you were dead, I don't think it would be possible or meaningful that your reading a movie review on someone's blog...go do what dead people do best. And.....if your a serial killer then, please go away. Thanks.

diary of a wimpy kid.

I just got back from watching this movie. It's definitely meant for the teeny boppers. I still found some of the parts funny, and parts you can't help but laugh at because it reminds you of how lame Jr. High was...and how glad you are that it's over. I've never read the books before, but my brother has them so I've seen them around the house. They look pretty cool. I find stick figure doodles very appealing. They have a certain charm to them. They did a good job keeping the book a part of the movie with the whole stick figure drawings and animations.

I'm not sure who out there is into movies that are meant for kids and families, but I'll just add the **SPOILERS** just in case your a teeny bopper.

So, anyways, it's a cute little movie. The characters were actually pretty funny, specially Fregley. He was such a gross little guy, but funny at the same time. A small ginger kid chasing his friend with a booger on his finger, then writing a letter of apology with the booger on it...awesome.

There was a character that I wasn't too fond of. Obviously she wasn't meant to be liked due to how much of an idiot she was. I don't know if any of you remember Jr. High, but there was always that one girl, who had to be part of everything in school, and be better than everyone. Her mom was the head of PTA and she always got her parents involved if she didn't get what she wanted. That was her...and I want to punch her in the face.

There was a little side running gag in this movie that I thought was really cool, and it's definitely how stupid annoying children would handle it too. There was a slice of cheese on the black top at the school that randomly appeared there and nobody threw it away. By the looks of it, it's been there for years. So, whoever touched it, caught the "cheese touch" and they would pretty much be ostracized by the entire student body. The only way to fix it is to touch someone and pass it on. It was so dumb, but funny at the same time because it's totally something that's been done, or has been going on for years and years. Maybe not with a rotting slice of cheese, but something else.

Anyways, this was a good movie. It wasn't amazing, but Id definitely give it a chance. The story was cute, the characters were funny, and unlike a lot of teeny bopper films, they didn't try hard to be funny, it was just natural and amusing. I was able to relate to this movie because it's kind of what Jr. High was like for me, except I didn't try so hard for people to like me. People just didn't like me period. It's okay, it's not like I have to relive that hell hole time of my life again.

So yeah, it's good, it's funny, it's a family flick. So if your into hard core Vin Diesel films like the Fast and the Furious then this probably isn't hard core enough for you, you might need to go watch Xxx or something, for the rest of you normal people Id at least watch it when it starts showing on TV.

the crazies.

I tried not to have any expectations when walking into this movie, but based on the trailer, "The Crazies" looked like a thrasher horror movie, much like "Dawn of the Dead" or "Texas Chainsaw Massacre"... I couldn't have been more... wrong? I know people will argue this. I actually wanted to see gore, and death, and killings, but the movie just didn't deliver, which made me want to see gore more, just to satisfy an itch... And I'm not even a gore fan.

I was not impressed by the story. Any scenes that had any scare potential were quickly ruined by bad, over-exaggerated acting, and all that was left were one or two pathetic attempts at jump scares. There were a few scenes that had a lot of potential, but the camera turns away, or shows you just enough to give you an idea of what's happening. C'mon This isn't PG-13.

I do not recommend this movie. That being said, it's not so horrible that it's unwatchable, it's just boring, uninventive, and nothing new. "The Crazies" is every other typical modern horror film rolled into one, without any pay off, gore, or real terror. If you're a fan of this genre, chances are you've seen the other movies I mentioned, and have no need to see this one.

shutter island.

1st of all, I'd like to start out by saying Leonardo DiCaprio was awesome in this movie. This was the only movie of his that I wasn't annoyed at because it's always Leonardo DiCaprio playing Leonardo DiCaprio, with some kind of accent. It's pretty lame and distracts me from enjoying the movie.

But anyways, this movie was freaking weird. You just find yourself following along, then at some point you start doubting what you assumed this movie was about. This movie IS a bit predictable and I found myself figuring it all out somewhere between the middle and the end. I didn't find it boring at all, I was more anxious than anything.

I'm not going to give any spoilers. I want you guys to just go see it for yourselves. If I give it away, there's really no point in seeing it. I liked the ending a lot and I don't think it could have ended any other way. The story was great. The movie was creepy and awesome. Can't get any creepier than an insane asylum.

Only thing I'm going to leave you with is, after you see this movie (if your obviously the kind of person who goes to movies and comes out analyzing it or comparing it to your life) your going to question your own life and the people around you. If your not that kind of person then your the type that goes to the movies, comes out and goes, "Dude!! Vin Diesel's car was badass!" If that's you then leave, why are you even reading movie reviews?

Okay that was a little bit more than what I was going to leave you with...

the wolfman.

I give this movie a 'D'. Maybe that's a bit harsh, but I didn't enjoy it at all. I believe all in all...there were about three scenes in the entire movie that was pretty cool. There's only so much you can do with a Werewolf movie. The idea was cool, but they failed in the creativity department, which to me is a BIG deal. So anyway, the story was just okay. It reminded me a lot of American Werewolf, and I couldn't help but think about Michael Jackson's Thriller. Even the werewolf scene in thriller was way cooler. This movie just didn't seem to have it's own creative elements.

Let's talk about the werewolf. I like Benicio Del Toro a lot, and it's not his fault that the director was a tard. But his werewolf, get up, was the worst. This isn't the 70s/80s, it's 2010. If you want to create a monster, use Underworld as reference. Not some low budget indie film that was created when our parents used to go out on the town. Not cool, it ruined the movie for me. It was scarier when they didn't show "the beast". But when they showed it, I was like, oh...that's what everyone is running from? What I'm getting at, it had no impact what so ever, we want big. If your going to create a movie that has monsters, go all out, don't just get a guy and glue some pubes to him and tell him to go chase people. Although it would be funny to see...if that's the look and feel your going for.

There were some interesting moments in this movie. There were scenes where he started to hallucinate as part of one of the symptoms of his "curse". Those were pretty creepy and awesome. And the scenes where he was remembering things from his past. Oh! Not to mention, the transformation from man to beast, was awesome, a little gross looking, but really cool. I'd say that's about it. Nothing else stood out to me.

In conclusion, if this movie was any more cornier it would be a corn field in the south of the US. I'm sorry, that's not really funny, but I have no idea what else to say about this movie. If you haven't seen it, there's really no rush. If you haven't seen it, but want to, fine whatever do what you want. Your either the type thats not going to like it or is going to like it a lot, and if your the one that likes it a lot, do me a favor and don't come to this blog anymore. You might as well go watch 'Disaster Movie'.

the lovely bones.

I was looking forward to this movie for a while, but when the reviews started... I wasn't so sure if it would live up to what I had hoped for in my mind. I liked the film more than I disliked it ( I'm a sucker for thrillers/mysteries/murders), but there were too many moments that seemed misplaced, unclear, and confusing. I wondered if this was due to the fact that "The Lovely Bones" is a book-to-movie adaptation.

I loved the concept of the story, and some of the acting, but the narration (featured in the trailer), seemed unnecessary throughout the entire film, and actually explained what was happening, or gave things away before it happened on screen. I hate when movies feel the need to explain things.

The coolest part of "The Lovely Bones" from the trailer seemed to be the 'other worldly' visuals, but they did not live up to anything they should have considering it was a Peter Jackson film... I found these visuals quite boring, as they cut away from the interesting, and at times intense, mystery storyline to be showcased. They were too random, and felt way too disconnected from anything I comprehended. The best parts of the movie were the scenes involving Stanley Tucci- he made it watchable.

I listened to /Film's podcast review of this movie, and they seemed to really dislike it... certain people way more than others, basically expressing that no one in their right minds should ever watch "The Lovely Bones". I wouldn't go so far as to say no one should watch it, but I would say I wish it was what I had envisioned it would be- a whole lot better.

Currently I'm reading the book, and within the first chapter one can tell the differences between it and the movie, as a huge fact from the book is left out of the film. I've heard many other things are different as well. I know the film is an adaptation, but in this case, the book is winning, and I've so far only been through two chapters.

I just came back from watching this movie and I must say, well done! It reminded me a little of "Juno", and that's a wicked awesome movie too. Just the style, the acting, the actors, it was all very simple and very effective. It's basically about a 16 year old kid going through great lengths to be with a twat. Basically.

One of my favorite parts of that movie was the title sequence. Stop motion FTW! I loved it! Michael Cera is super creepy in stop motion mode, but it was still pretty cool. They did that several times throughout the movie, but different styles. They had picture cut out animation at one point. At another where he's totally tripping balls, they had a cool 2D animated porno sequence. That was a good scene. Not because of the porno. Then at the end credits they had another, really short and sweet piece. The animations we're great. Overall, it just gave the movie a really good feel.

I didn't know Justin Long was in that movie, so that was a big surprise. He definitely added a bit of awesome to it. Another surprise, Steve Buscemi! He played the dad with the slutty girlfriend. Pretty gross, she wasn't all that great looking herself. Either way she ran away with Paul (Justin Long) so they can create knarly looking children together. Cera's Francois Dillinger character was amazing. A little creepy looking with the mustache and colored lenses and all, but SO FUNNY! It's also a little mind blowing thinking that Cera totally pulled off that kind of character. I'm always used to him playing the same kind of guy in every movie, so this was a major difference and very awesome!

In all honesty I thought that Sheeni girl that Cera's character was obsessed with was a total nincompoop. It makes me glad that I'm not 16 anymore. First of all, pretending you have a boyfriend is just sad. Same goes for the other side. Just don't do it. It's lame and it makes you look like an idiot. Second, her taste in dogs is horrendous. There's a little black dog that Cera get's her and you know what? I'm not going to get into that. It was unfortunate looking, just take my word for it.

Anyways, I loved this movie. I can't wait until it comes out on bluray. I'm all over it. The story was hilarious and by the time the movie ended, in my head there was a soft, disappointed "noooo..." I definitely recommend it to everyone. It's funny. Who doesn't love funny movies. If you don't think it's funny go watch "The Fast and the Furious".
